The Churchview Estate Shiraz is a fine example of how Margaret River can create a wonderfully elegant Shiraz. Unlike a typical South Australian Shiraz this wine displays characteristics that are similar to a Syrah that one may find in the Southern Rhone. That aside, this wine is densely aromatic and super concentrated with aromas of red berries, plums, black cerries, black currants, chocolate, star anise, bay leaves and tobacco. The French Oak adds some spicy and smokey characteristics to the mid palate with subtle vanilla overtones. Keep swirling and the aromas keep building.
The Palate has a depth of flavour and intense fruit weight all supported by a core of ripe fruits of the forest, intermingled with fine grained tannins which form the length and complexity of this wine. Soft tannins and a long finish complete this wine.
